Virgin Airlines Sydney Bound Flight in Sewage Mess.

In a Virgin Airline flight from Los Angeles to Sydney via New Zealand, passengers got what they did not bargain for as the sewage pipe in the aircraft burst open flooding the aisle of the plane with human excrement.

The long haul flight which had covered 3 hours of the journey on Tuesday was reported to have been covered in foul smell which generated complaints from passengers.Virgin Airlines was reported to have forced the flight to return to Los Angeles due to the leaks to address the plumbing errors. The Airline in a statement said "In accordance with standard operating procedures, the Captain made the decision to return to port as a precautionary measure after two of the sinks on board were leaking". The stench in the aircraft was unbearable that passengers were offered face masks to wear but this had little or no effect.

Upon return to the airport, passengers were later lodged in a hotel waiting for a rescheduled flight. Virgin Australia has since offered apologies to the affected passengers. The Airline concluded by saying "At no time was health or safety at risk to any persons on board the aircraft."

No pun intended but I'm happy it did not get worse than that.. I cannot but imagine sitting for another three long pathetic hours with my leg submerged in stench filled human waste.
