Witchdoctors in Tanzania banned over albinos

Witchdoctors in Tanzania are currently out of business following government's ban on their practices over worrying killings of albinos. Over 70 albinos have been murdered in the country since year 2000 with a surge in 2009. Albinos body parts are considered to be repository of wealth by the witchdoctors. Tanzania Albinism Society's spokesperson, Ziziyada Nsembo said the ban is "just a starting point. We haven't seen where these hands, legs and skin are taken. If the witch doctors will tell us that they are taken to somebody we will be in a better position. We can reach the real culprits."

Waoh...I can't imagine the fear they must be living in.
