Zayn Malik splits from One Direction

Its no longer news that Zayn Malik of the boy band 'One direction' has quit from the group to live a "normal life". The 22-year-old singer said in an interview with the Sun "I did try to do something that I wasn't happy doing for a while ... I only ever tried to do it for the fans. "I'm only upset because I feel like I may have let them down in some sort of way. "It's not that I've turned my back on them or anything, it's just that I can't do that any more because it's not real to me."

He denied talks going round about bad blood between him and his fellow band mates for making this decision, instead he insists "My band has been really supportive". The rest of the boys Harry Styles, 21, Louis Tomlinson, 23, Niall Horan, 21, and Liam Payne, 21 are eager to carry on as One Direction.
Not all of the band fans have been able to gulp this down, there's been so much rant on social media especially girls who have sought after him..
I think he is just at that point where he needs his mummy..He just wants normalcy!

All the best to the young lad though! He still has a lot ahead of him in the future.

As Nigerians hit the polls tomorrow

As President Obama has said, I will also lend my voice with him to tell Nigerians to shun violence, as they go to the polls tomorrow to carry out their civic duty.

Wishing Nigeria the very best.

Emmanuel Emenike face abuse from Fenerbahce supporters

Being bullied by your own supporters or fans is the last thing any player in a team would expect, especially when you are trying your best to impress your fans.
Nigerian international player Emmanuel Emenike angrily walked out of the field when he could not take an alleged abuse from his own fans during a match in Turkey. The Fenerbahce striker was booed by his team supporters after blowing a one on one chance with Besiktas' Tolga Zengin after a poor touch to control a long ball. Emenike removed his shirt in annoyance and walked off to the sidelines on Sunday night's match against Besiktas. His coaches quickly arrested the situation by pushing him back in to the pitch to continue to play.

Ariana Grande's mimicks Celine Dion on 'The Tonight Show'

American talk show host Jimmy Fallon had singer and actress Ariana Grande do an impression of Celine Dion on his The Tonight show. The presenter joined the Nickelodeon star to do "Beauty and the Beast" duet even though she quickly confessed she doesn't know the lyrics. They both did a fantastic job mimicking Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson. I'm very sure Celine would be laughing watching this!! Oh God! Her mimicking was spot on! Can't fault the way she mimed Celine's mannerisms, it was well played out.

Some people are just born talent.

Bitter-sweet feeings as father raise quads alone

What was meant to be a lifetime of joy turned out to be a tragic twist of fate, a bitter-sweet experience for father of quadruplet Carlos Morales, who lost his wife hours after she had the babies.
Morales 29, is now faced with raising the children, 3 girls and 1 boy all alone. A massive out pour of love have been shown by the public since the babies were born in January 2015. A gofundme page has been created to fund, support and assist the upkeep of the babies. Father of the babies Erica, Tracy, Carlos Jnr and Paisely says "We’re just doing our best. I’m feeling really, really grateful for everybody that just came together and helped us,"

Morales's late wife's mother has since moved in to help with the babies and she said “It’s funny how things turn out. Bittersweet, but at the same time, thanks to God, and the outpouring support of the public, it’s been phenomenal,” she said. “And I’d like to say thank you to each and every one of you. All the support we’ve gotten from you, we appreciate it.”

You'll get there! Be strong!

When celebrities bury their hatchets

In Vitro Fertilisation was in the news recently when fashion icon Domenico Dolce of D&G referred to IVF babies as "...children of chemistry, synthetic children".The first backlash was from Sir Elton John who called for a boycott of the fashion brand. In the same vein, I was taken aback because I know one or two persons who this medical breakthrough have brought smiles to their lives and homes.. In the middle of the boycott troll, roving cameramen took images of the musician with the brand's bag followed by a renewed declaration of love for D&G.
Now that its all over...What about those who followed suit and angrily cast-off their D&G designer items??

Do you bury hatchets and leave people upstaged?!

Where are you sugar addicts like me??Get in here!

As you all know I have been weaning myself off sugar lately, I try to steer clear from things that would make me have sugar rush...So I'd deal with cravings by eating a fruit or drinking tea to hydrate myself.
According to Graham MacGregor, Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Wolfson Institute of Preventive Medicine, Barts and The London Hospital said; ‘Added sugar in our diet is a very recent phenomenon and only occurred when sugar, obtained from sugar cane, beet and corn, became very cheap to produce. ‘It’s a completely unnecessary part of our calorie intake: it has no nutritional value, gives no feeling of fullness and is acknowledged to be a major factor in causing obesity and diabetes both in the UK and worldwide.’

In addition, the World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends no more than 10 cubes a day.

Overweight dog regains self back

This excessively fat Dachshund dog in the above picture was fed junk food by its owner and has lost more than 25 kilograms after being placed on a diet. Dennis the dog lost more than 75 per cent of his body weight in a space of 24 months.
The dog owner Brooke Burton 26, from Columbus, Ohio, got him from her uncle who fed him human food. After taking him away from the uncle in 2013, Ms Burton raised veterinary cost through Crowd funding site to enable the dog embark on a diet, which has now put the dog back in shape.

Things you do for a healthy lifestyle! I'm sure the dog was even tired of being called to do anything.

A little girl's response to a bully-best response ever

Listen to this little girls's smart response to a bully. Some of us who aware of the damaging effect this could cause would really appreciate the gumption she took to give such a fantastic response!
"The little boy said I look ugly.  I said I didn't came here to make fashion statement, I came here to learn not look pretty. And the little boy said I look bad,  I said did you look in the mirror lately?  Bye-bye! See you later!  Make me mad!"
If only I had the courage to say this when I was young. I wish I could give her a warm, big, motherly hug. Bless her!

Breaking the glass slipper to ensure the real owner is never found is another twist to the story. I'm hoping the story line would come with the real owner presenting the other leg of the footwear. My fingers are crossed, thinking there would be more interesting bends in this yet to be released Disney movie.
Watch out for it on Friday 13th March 2015.
