CEO Dad quits.

A high flying investment firm mogul Mohammed El-Erian has left his job as CEO of Pimco. El-Erian recounted how his 10 year old daughter listed out the things which he has missed out in her life due to his busy working life.

In his words ‘It was a list she had compiled of her important events that I had missed due to work commitments. Talk about a wake-up call. The list included 22 items, from her first day at school and first soccer match of the season to a parent-teacher meeting and a Halloween parade.’

These were inherent issues the daughter had put together as they are important. El-Erian confirms that his high flying career has made him miss out in his daughters life and hopes to make up for the time while he takes up part time roles for flexibility and less travel. According to him, this would also enable him have experience of the little and big moments that make up each day.

I don't blame the poor girl...Time lost can never be regained!.
