'Baldy' the bald hedgehog

Baldy (Picture: Caters)

This hedgehog may not have a cause to go back to the wild as he was discovered to have a rare condition with his skin. He has no spikes as the usual hedgehogs do and his carers at the Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue Centre in Ayrshire, Scotland says Baldy is ‘confident and healthy’ despite his condition. Although it seems the weather has been a lot helpful since it has been warm. Baldy’s sensitive and dry skin is treated daily with tea tree oil and the Rescue Centre is hopefully going to keep him throughout the winter for better care.

Below is another picture of Baldy with a fully spiked hedgehog.
