Kids eating products before getting to the till..A yay or a nay?

As some of you know that this is almost a habit for a lot of people...Is this right, should it be encouraged? Especially for mothers who seemingly have to do this to keep their children quiet or to pay attention. I have seen a lot of adults do it too with grapes, sweets and packs of crisps, biscuit and drinks...But do we all pay at the till? Because this is where my bone of contention lies..

What are your takes?

Michelle Obama diggin' it on stage during Easter

If anyone has followed American First Lady Mrs Obama closely, its easy to notice she is fit and does not hesitate to dance, exercise or demonstrate any of these at anytime.. Here is a clip of her doing what she is preaches with her initiative Let's Move, a campaign to confront obesity in children with healthy eating and exercise.

Mrs Obama and members of the All Star crew from So You Think You Can Dance wowed the White House Annual Easter Egg Roll visitors to a beautiful choreographed dance with no other song but Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars.

I love this woman...She sure knows how to dig it!

Beautiful couple die on their way to surprise family for Easter

Dr Margaret -Ann and David Rous were both killed when their aircraft came down in Argyll during the holiday weekend. The couple who were flying from Dundee, hoping to pay a secret visit to Ann's mother and sister on an Island in the Inner Hebrides, had their plane crashing into the hills in the Scottish Highlands due to bad weather conditions on Saturday.

Dr Rous's sister Johann describes her as her 'absolute rock' and said the day of the incident is 'the hardest day of my life' .

So sad...My thoughts and prayers goes out to their families at this difficult time.

My thoughts for onward elections in Nigeria

Independent National Electoral Commission has been the fulcrum in Nigeria's quest for sustainable democracy. A role played well so far and perhaps plays well onward. It should not rest on its oars and the laudable performance of Prof Attahiru Jega's leadership should be consolidated. To this end, the 'new improved' INEC do not need to wait till next national elections to perfect the structure that delivered the sterling record of the moment. It is my opinion that states that have their elections staggered from rest of the country like Kogi, Ekiti and Anambra be used as model to refine the configuration of conducting elections by INEC. If the privilege offered by these states is effectively maximized, 2019 electorates would be better positioned to demand from politicians nothing but good & verifiable achievement.

Please join me in FORWARD THINKING! dream Nigeria.

Learning from each other

With the emergence of computers, tablets, ipads, game consoles, apps and Nintendos, a lot of parents have left their wards to find learning with these tools easier rather than having a good sit on a couch to influence learning from each other. How many of us can vouch that we still read with or to our kids? Whether biological or random kids? Parents, aunties, uncles and family members don't find the need anymore to sit down together because technology and working life has taken over a lot of these duties. There were times you'd prefer a particular person to do a reading because you enjoy his/her narrative style. Look around properly, a common sight you see now is children owning their own gadgets, bowing on their phones...either chatting online, playing music, playing games or watching films.
A lot of times some parents do not know how well the literacy of their children should be measured. They leave the children to move with the flow and learn as they go.

Does anyone agree with me?

Baby born without nose- One of just 37 in the world

According to the mother Brandi McGlathery ‘The rest of him is so cute, sometimes you don’t realize he doesn't have a nose,’. Baby Eli was born with an extremely rare condition called Complete Congenital Arhinia. Around the world, Baby Eli is among 37 babies living with this condition. Father of the baby Troy Thompson said he had hoped the baby does not get his nose but to his utmost dismay they pulled back in shock when they discovered he had no nose.
GoFundMe page has been set up to raise money for surgery to make him a nose including visitation to the hospital.
Doctors have also said they may have to wait until baby Eli attains puberty as his palate is not fully formed and his 'brain is lower'

Buhari Receives Certificate Of Return From INEC

General Muhammadu Buhari and the Vice President-elect Professor Yemi Osibajo have been issued a 'Certificate of Return' by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC. The Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega, handed the certificate to General Buhari, and his Vice President-elect today 1st of April 2015.

Even Mr Obama have given recognition to Jega "The golden man"

Apart from the two strong contestant standing for election in Nigeria, another name on people's lips is the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega. He made his mark by carrying out his diligent duty peacefully and restoring faith in the democratic process of electing a new leader.

“Nigeria’s Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and its chairman, Attahiru Jega, deserve special recognition for what independent international observers have deemed a largely peaceful and orderly vote.” - President Barack Obama
