Zimbabweans displays at Ayr beach

What turned out to be a religious activity did not seem to go down well with beach goers visiting Ayr beach in Scotland on Sunday.

The tourists told how they watched two women kneeling chest deep in the sea, gasping for breath. The women were surrounded by three people in white robes chanting and pounding a staff into the ocean.
According to an eye witness " It went on for 20 minutes. I've never seen anything like it before in my life, it certainly wasn't something I expected to see on a Sunday afternoon"

As fears grew in the beach for the women's safety, a call was made to the police who arrived the location and discovered the group were Zimbabweans carrying out a religious ritual. It is unclear if the whole drama has anything to do with baptism or something of sort but the group left the sea reassuring the crowd that "all is well".

Different strokes for different folks!
