The Centre for Disease Control and
Prevention have announced the first case of Ebola in the United States on
Tuesdays 30th 2014. It is understood that the patient is being
treated in a hospital in Dallas. Texas
Health Presbyterian stated late on Monday 29th October 2014 that it
had admitted a patient into strict isolation "based on the patient’s
symptoms and recent travel history."The report also said that the
patient recently returned to Dallas after a travel to Liberia,West Africa.
CPD have confirmed that the standard
hospital infection control measure should help curb the spread of the virus.
